The Best Small Business & Blogging Article Roundup

It’s been a productive week, and I’ve managed to get a lot of work done despite my poor habit of procrastination.

This week I am going to share with you some of the most helpful and insightful posts that I’ve come across, and hopefully they can give you a boost in your business and blogging ventures.

BUSINESS

Let’s get started with my own productivity post, where I explored the 6-hour workday being implemented in Sweden. This post has some great insight for everyone struggling with productivity, and there are excellent tips on how to boost your output.

If you have been networking and attending meetings, then you definitely need to check out this post on the 8 worst handshakes that you can give. Talking about meetings, the Time Doctor Mike Gardner has some excellent advice on how to be efficient with your time during meetings.

I was also excited to come across an article describing how girls in Zambia were taught the art of negotiation, in order to equip them with the skills that they need to raise their school fees. This post was extremely inspiring and shows how entrepreneurial skills can be used in all areas of our lives.

You should also check out my first guest post, which focuses on joint ventures and the factors that you need to consider before you enter into one. Yes, this is me shamelessly promoting my own post, but I’m very excited about its reception.

If you have nightmare clients that are making your life difficult, then here are some great tips on how to deal with them.

And if you are a creative caught between Etsy and Amazon’s Handmade, then it’s time for you to take steps to control the direction of your creative business.

Lastly, Amazon Affiliate niche sites have become a popular way of making money online. If you want to make significant profits through a niche site, this comprehensive guide is perfect for you.

BLOGGING, SOCIAL MEDIA & SEO

Over the last few weeks, I have seen fellow bloggers getting published on Huffington Post, and they have been kind enough to share their tips on how you can get published as well.

And if BuzzFeed is more your speed, then here is how to get your content on the front page of this content curation site.

I have also been trying to increase my subscription engagement, and so I was glad to stumble upon this clear guide on how to create a stellar auto responder.

We move onto social media, where getting influencers to link to your content can boost your traffic numbers exponentially. (I love that word!) This post will guide you on getting influencers in your niche to promote your content.

And if you love Pinterest, here is how to drive 10,000 visitors a month using this platform.

The next post appeared on Matthew Woodward’s blog, and it covers marketing, link building, traffic generation, SEO, and website design, all in relation to E-commerce. So if you are selling products online, you should check out this advice before going live.

I know that most of you have read expert roundups in your niche, and you’ve probably been encouraged to create one or participate in one. Well, Jacob King calls out the people who are creating lazy and cookie cutter SEO roundups, singlehandedly running this traffic generation tactic into the ground.

If you’d like a comprehensive guide on finding your blog niche, check out this post from Shashank Gupta.

Hopefully, you’ll find a couple of posts that you absolutely love from the links I’ve shared in this article roundup. Drop me a comment and let me know if these were helpful, and don’t forget to subscribe to the Business Broken Down newsletter for instant post updates.

Have a productive week, and I’ll see you back next week.

  1. WOW. Thanks so much for featuring me in your post. I am very appreciative! I am also excited to check out some of the other people included here.

Just to give my opinion on on Roundup Posts… I LOVE them! I find it so interesting to read about what others are recommending. I have found some of my favorite blogs this way. In fact, I follow a couple people in certain niches specifically because of their awesome roundup posts.

While others use roundups for their newsletters, why miss out on the benefits of actually posting it to your blog? Thanks again and I will be sharing on social media.

  3. Great round-up post. I must admit I have never thought of doing such a post on my blog before. Other than providing excellent resources for others I can also see the value this kind of post can have on your blog traffic. I’m off to read Neil Patel’s Autoresponder Guide and probably bookmark this post for later as I’m also keen investigate a few of your other mentions.
